Meghalaya Crowned National Champions for the Third time !

The finalists for the 6th IBFF National Blind Football Tournament 18-20 Sept'22 featured Meghalaya taking on Kerala for the second year running conducted with Tamil Nadu Blind Football Association - TNBFA . The team from the North East trumped their opponents 2-0 with India International Klingson Marak scoring a brace to secure their second back to back titles. He also went on to become the top scorer of the tournament with Antony Samuel of Kerala together with 9 goals each, and shared the Stars of the Tournament title too. Prakash Shira won the Best Defender with Sahil from Uttarakhand winning the most Promising Youngster award and Anugrah winning the best Goalkeeper award. The tournament also saw two new teams participate - Punjab and Rajasthan and this should help promote the game across the new regions. The tournament was also a selection grounds for the upcoming Asian Ch'ships'22 to be held at Kochi in Nov'22.
